Charlaine Harris
Author Charlaine Harris has been writing novels for more than twenty-five years. Born in Mississippi Delta, she grew up – believe it or not – in the middle of a cotton field. She now resides in southern Arkansas with her husband and her three children along with three dogs, and a duck. The duck lives outside. . Though her early works consisted largely of ghost stories, at college Charlaine was writing poetry and plays. Soon she had the opportunity to stay home and write, and was first published by Houghton Mifflin. If you are a fan of the True Blood series on HBO you must begin reading the Sookie Stackhouse vampire books by Charlaine Harris. The books are from her Southern Vampire Mystery series and they're just as entertaining as the True Blood television show.
I even prefer them in many ways because you get more information about the main characters: Sookie, Bill, Sam, and Eric, They're also a great read and very entertaining!
